Why am I drunk after 3 pints of lager but not a bottle of wine?

Seriously, I feel sick and on the verge of passing out after 3 pints of strong lager. Yet after a bottle of red wine I feel completely coherent and fine?

wine takes MUCH longer for you to get drunk. lager must be stronger and more hard-core. take a nap and rub ice on your forehead. you’ll feel all better afterwards.

Apparently your body doesn’t like lager, lol Stick to wine if you are out and about and if you wanna get hammered then drink lager!

It’s all about the alcohol by volume (ABV) content. A standard bottle of red wine (750ml) is 25.4 US ounces and contains approximately 14% alcohol or 3.6 US ounces. Three pints of lager is 48 US ounces. If the alcohol content in the lager is 7.5% then the alcohol content is the same. Most likely he lager you are drinking has a much higher alcohol content that 7.5%.

everybody is different, there also may be something in the beer that could be making you feel like that. talk to a doctor

I’m assuming that your three pints are the standard pint size and that the bottle of wine is the standard 750 mL bottle size. Three pints of beer equals 48 ounces and a bottle of wine is only 25 ounces. It’s not quite double but it’s pretty close.
