The sugars should have all been consumed by the ale yeast. Any additional yeast would be a waste.
However, I have read that storing your fermentation vessel in a colder area for a week or so will mellow out some of the harshness of your brew. STORE, NOT RE-FERMENT!!
Just make sure you are using a glass NOT plastic ferm. vess.
Remember, STORE, NOT RE-FERMENT, at about 50 – 60 degrees F.
Of course it depends on the style of ale you are brewing.
