5 OC Breweries to be featured at The Bruery Provisions

This Tuesday, October 12th, from 6 to 8pm, The Bruery Provisions is showcasing a handful of the amazing breweries that have been sprouting up around Orange County the past few years. A special OC Brewers Beer Flight will feature five local beers including:

Tustin Brewing Co. – Oktoberfest
Cismontane – Black Dawn
TAPS – California Gold – XPA
Pizza Port San Clemente – Shark Bite Red
Bootleggers – Black Phoenix

Not only will these beers be available to try, but Tustin Brewing’s John Porter, Cismontane’s Evan Weinberg, Victor Novak from TAPS and of course Patrick Rue of The Bruery have already confirmed that they will be on hand to discuss their beers, plus other special guests are bound to turn up when you’ve got such a high caliber lineup.

While the OC breweries might still be hiding in the shadows cast by San Diego and Sonoma Valley, it doesn’t seem that they will remain there for long. Just last month, TAPS brewpub won the prestigious medal for Brewpub Group and Brewpub Brewer of The Year at the Great American Beer Festival and Pizza Port San Clemente won Small Brewpub and Brewer of the year! On top of that, Tustin Brewing Co. took a bronze medal for their Blimp Hangar Porter and this is coming off of a 2009 gold medal for their Golden Spike ale. The Bruery also brought home their first ever GABF medal with a gold for one of their barrel aged sour beers, Oude Tart.

It certainly won’t be long until Orange County is known for their award winning beers and it would be silly to miss an opportunity to speak with the men who crafted them.
