In the month of September, the local outlets of Emeril’s empire have filled the calendar with wine and beer events.

On Friday, September 10, Emeril’s (800 Tchoupitoulas St.) hosts a five-course dinner featuring the wines of California’s Foxen Vineyards. Winemaker Dick Dore, a supporter of Emeril Lagasse’s annual Carnival du Vin charity fundraiser, will be on hand to answer questions. Tickets are $130, plus tax and gratuity.

Throughout the month, Emeril’s Delmonico (1300 St. Charles Ave.) features a special German menu. On Wednesday, September 15, German beer also gets it due, when German-trained brewmaster Henryk “Heiner” Orlik of the north shore’s Heiner Brau teams with Delmonico for a five-course beer dinner. All of Orlik’s beers are made according to the 1516 Bavarian beer purity law. Tickets are $75, including tax and tip.
