Black Star, the double hopped golden lager from the Great Northern Brewery in Whitefish, Montana is excited to announce their beer is now available throughout Arizona. Residents of the sunny Copper State are finally able to taste the beer that Montana residents and those on the west coast have been talking about.

Commonly recognized for its refreshing taste and great price, Black Star is an excellent alternative to both craft and premium beers. “Black Star is that special mix between craft and domestic beers ‐ a traditional Pilsner style lager with the hops of a craft,” said Steve Brown, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Crescent Crown Distributing in Arizona.

2012 marks a new chapter for Black Star Beer. “We are incredibly excited to introduce Black Star to Arizona,” said Minott Wessinger, founder of Black Star. “It’s the first state we are expanding into this year and I am sure it won’t be our last,” he added. “We wouldn’t be able to grow into these new states without the love and support of our consumers. It truly is an awesome feeling when you can walk into a new state, new store, new bar and say ‘Black Star now available!’”

Not only is Black Star now available in Arizona, but the Montana beer will soon be available on draught in all markets where Black Star is currently sold: ID, WA, OR, CA, NV, and AZ! Draught is scheduled to launch in early April. “This is big news for us,” said Minott Wessinger. “We love Black Star in bottles and cans, but at the end of the day, nothing beats a cold Black Star straight from the tap,” he added.

“Black Star has been widely accepted since we started talking about it,” said Brown. “We already have authorizations in most of the major grocery outlets and convenience stores. The retailers really like the story behind the beer.”
