Is it true that adding lime to your beer/lager will get you drunk faster?

Heard that a while ago and kind of believed it. Something to do with the acidic nature of the lime? Wondered what the readers thought??!!

no,
but in summer and especially if you drink a “blond” or wheat beer, lime juice will add a refreshing taste!

Having drunk Mexican cervezas for years (Indio and Bohemia are among my favourites)
I can honestly say “no” .. besides alcohol is meant to be enjoyed. If you’re just trying to get drunk, stay away and have some more Kool-Aid.

No. Actually, the lime was discovered to repel flies from getting into your bottle. Citric juice repels the flies and keeps them out of your beer on those hot summer days. I personally don’t drink beer with lime even though it tastes refreshing. Doesn’t seem to make you drunk any faster either.
