I can honestly say “no” .. besides alcohol is meant to be enjoyed. If you’re just trying to get drunk, stay away and have some more Kool-Aid.
No. Actually, the lime was discovered to repel flies from getting into your bottle. Citric juice repels the flies and keeps them out of your beer on those hot summer days. I personally don’t drink beer with lime even though it tastes refreshing. Doesn’t seem to make you drunk any faster either.

but in summer and especially if you drink a “blond” or wheat beer, lime juice will add a refreshing taste!
